Mr. Antonio Casella, a prominent entrepreneur from the Province of Puglia in SE Italy and CEO of Casella Food Imports and Bio commodity | jatropha biofuel energy hosted the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Mohammad Oemar at a working luncheon attended by over a hundred business persons from the region. During the luncheon several business person interested in expanding business into the markets of Indonesia had productive meetings with the Ambassador.
One of the pieces of new business that emerged from the meetings was a license to export Divella Pasta products – www.divella.it – to all of Indonesia. P.T. Casella Food Imports emerged as a new company incorporated to export Divella Pasta products and other related Italian products to Indonesia and import strategic products from Indonesia to Italy. For several strategic reasons the jewel island of Bali was chosen as corporate head quarters for the new Company.
Bali is one of the most successful tourist destinations in all of SE Asia. It lies about five hundred miles south of the equator on the frontier between the Indian ocean to the west and the Pacific ocean to the east. The ocean current know as the Wallace Line. The natural beauty of Bali features its world class surfing beaches, its patch-quilt pattern of manicured rice paddies, and is capped by Mount Agung a twenty-five hundred meter active volcano.
