Carbon2Green to Produce Biodiesel

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO – Carbon2Green Corporation is to start producing biodiesel from its subsidiary in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Carbon2Green is currently conducting a pilot project in the Bandundu region of DRC and is seeking funds to be able to hire 300 people and to plant 35 million Jatropha plants on 14,000 hectares of degraded land by the end of the year.

According to the latest estimates related to the Bandundu project prepared by the external engineering consulting firm Genivar, the Jatropha Curcas trees will produce about 24 million litres of biodiesel a year over the next two to three years.

“As the biodiesel market is booming and we expect that it will remain so for many years, we believe that this is a decision that can only be very beneficial for our shareholders,” said Carbon2Green’s chairman of the board of directors, Mr. Andre Bergeron.
